Kevin Gildea

Kevin Gildea is a comedian, writer, actor, reader, walker and list maker and one of the founders of Dublin’s first comedy club The Comedy Cellar.

Kevin has performed his stand-up all over the shop - Shanghai, Bankok, Dubai,South Africa, Vietnam and Portloaise.

Kevin is very funny and an audience member actually poohed in themselves during one of his gigs in Portlaoise. This is TRUE.

If you want to look at Kevin tune into the RTE music programme Reverb on Tuesday nights. He says funny things about old music.

Kevin was given money by RTE to develop a comedy programme and is awaiting word on its possible making. If they make it you will have further opportunities to look at him in the comfort of your own home.

“A brilliant, original show,” by The Edinburgh

“Highly original and explosively funny,” The Sunday Times.

John Lynn

A few years ago John Lynn visited the Comedy Cellar in Dublin and thought ‘I could do that’. This isn’t unusual. A lot of people think that. Most of them can’t. John could. That’s why he’s fast becoming one of the most sought after acts in the country.

John’s easy going laid back delivery makes him an instant hit with audiences. Within months of starting stand up John appeared on TV screens in RTE’s ‘Liffey Laugh’s’, a remarkable feat for a newcomer.

Last year John appeared on the BBC’s ‘One Night Stand’ and earlier this year was a highlight alongside Tommy Tiernan & Jon Kenny on TV3’s THE THIRD POLICEMAN’S BALL, celebrating the work of Flann O’Brien.

John has spent the last year constantly performing. He completed his first full Edinburgh festival run in 2006. He is the first choice as an opening act for Naked Camera’s PJ Gallagher and has since performed in almost every comedy venue around Ireland.
